Du fait grammatical au fait cognitif (2 volumes)
From Gram to Mind : Grammar as Cognition
Is grammar an autonomous system of markers and constructions, distinct from all other types of symbolic activity? Or is grammar "a window open on thought", a powerful revealer of everyday cognition? How is the relation between grammatical
semiology, syntactic structure and mental representation to be defined? What is truly "cognitive" about Cognitive Grammar? Who cognizes what? What does it mean for a speaker to be an "embodied social cognizer"? More generally, is it possible
for cognitive linguists to agree on what the cognitive dimensions of language might be and how the multidimensionality of grammar should be handled? This volume presents a selection of 30 articles based on the presentations given at the Gramto-
Mind conference on cognitive grammar and cognitive linguistics (Bordeaux, 19-21 May 2005).
